Malware

Well folks another week goes by and a lot has occurred.

I've begun to walk the path of malware analysis. Circumstances at my current employment have led me to engage in the research of malware analysis. And to be honest with you all I'm very excited. Now I don't have a huge background in assembly language... but that's why I'm excited. So I've been preparing myself with some tools I've downloaded following Cybrary's Malware Analysis videos found here . I've also cracked open my book Practical Malware Analysis, which by the way every Cyber Security professional should read. I'll do a small review of this book once I get through the hefty chapters.

Another thing I'd like to add, my current company has approved my external scanning laptop that I've harden using the CIS Benchmark documentation. This approval has made me very happy as this took me a while to harden this laptop. It only took about two weeks of reading the documentation and testing every command. Goes to show with a lot of hard work and being persistent you'll get recognized for some really good work.

Well that's all I have for now, for next week I'll post my progress with the Malware Analysis fiasco.
